Walk Faster, Healthier Heart
了解為何加快腳步可能是最簡單、最有效的護心運動之一。
Walking faster might be good for your heart, a new study says. The study found that it can lower the chance of getting a heart problem called arrhythmia.
What is arrhythmia? It means your heartbeat is not regular. It might beat too slow, too fast, or not in a regular way. Some kinds of arrhythmia are not serious, but others can be dangerous. They can increase the risk of heart disease.
The study looked at information from a large group of people in the UK. They put the walking speed into three groups: slow, average, and fast. Most people in the study walked at an average or fast speed.
Over many years, some people got arrhythmia. The study found a clear link. When compared to slow walkers, people who walked at an average speed had a much lower chance of getting this problem. Those who walked at a fast speed had an even lower risk.
The study suggests that even short walks can help. Walking at an average speed for just 5 to 15 minutes every day might be enough to help. One researcher said that walking is a great exercise because it is easy for almost everyone to do. You do not need special things or to join a gym. You can just start walking from your own home.
